Serpentine Dam has a large picnic area, free gas barbecues, walk trails, a playground and toilet facilities.
The dam was completed in 1961, initially to supply water to the rapidly expanding Kwinana area.
It is one of the biggest dams supplying the Perth metropolitan area.
It is the major attraction on the Serpentine Dams Loop Option.
